Ryan and Naomi Thomas

Ryan and Naomi have been married for 28 years and are the parents of five beautiful children, a son-in-law, a soon to be daughter-in-law, and have a spunky granddaughter.  They live in Bandera, Texas, where Ryan works in software development and Naomi is a midwife.  Their connection to Haiti began over 19 years ago when they adopted their second youngest son, Jeffry, from an orphanage near Port-au-Prince, and they have carried this beautiful country in their hearts ever since.

Ryan and Naomi travel to Haiti at least once a year with Multiply Haiti. Naomi has traveled to Haiti to volunteer as a midwife with an amazing organization in Cap Haitien many times as well. Through their travels, they have become connected with many inspiring people who love the beautiful country of Haiti and who have big ideas on how to help. It was through these connections that the idea of Multiply Haiti was born, and they are excited to see how God will continue to use it to impact lives.

Kerlin André

Kerlin is a young entrepreneur from Ranquitte, Haiti, currently living in Cap Haitien.  Together with his partners, he founded the International English School with the goal of teaching skills that provide employment opportunities and unlock doors for his students.  Kerlin is the inspiration behind the Child Education Sponsorship Project of Multiply Haiti, and he sits on the organization’s board of directors as our Director of Operations in Haiti.

When we first met Kerlin, we were so humbled by his generosity.  As we got to know him, we learned that he was personally committing 40% of his own income to helping children back in his home village of Ranquitte to attend elementary, middle, and high school.  We also learned that when he was younger, somebody helped him in the same way, ensuring that through education, he would be better-equipped to pursue his dreams.  We asked ourselves, “if we have the means to help, how can we not follow his example?”

Kerlin’s personal commitment to helping his people and his country by unlocking the benefits of education is truly inspiring, and we couldn’t be happier to partner with him.

Renac Jean

Renac and his wife, Remina, live in Ranquitte, Haiti with their 7 beautiful children, 3 of whom are adopted from the local community.  Renac is the head administrator of a school that serves over 300 children, ranging from preschool through secondary.  An educator for 20+ years, Renac is passionate about improving the future for his students through the power of learning.  Remina works as a nurse in Ranquitte, and heads up a program to feed and care for widows.

Publicly-funded education in Haiti is basically non-existent, and the expense to send a child to school is out of reach for many families.  We are so excited to partner with Renac to increase educational opportunities for the children in Ranquitte.
